Dressmaking Charts - for Practical Instruction in Needlework

$165.00

“Dressmaking Charts - for Practical Instruction in Needlework - Progressive Method” is the translated title from the original French one, “Tableaux de Couture.” Although originally intended for the beginning sewer, each of you is guaranteed to learn something from this marvelous sewing course, which dates from 1894.

Contained in each boxed course is a regimen of 28 steps, each with printed instruction on cards, complete with the type of fabric specified by the original. There is enough of each fabric included, so that you may practice on one half of it, then you will attach your perfected sample to the coordinating card.
It may seem farfetched to state, but we believe this tool to be a family heirloom in the making, when utilized to teach those in your family’s younger generation to sew. If the well-worn condition of the original course is any indication, you will simply need to supply the needle and thread, the instructions will do the rest to lead you toward hours of enjoyment.

Not only practical, this tool is also beautiful due to its original graphics, meaning it will display well in your sewing or doll room.
