As an exclusive for the Carmel Doll Shop Boutique, Jeffrey Cook of Maison Jeffrey has created a period accurate 1840’s Day Dress for our dear “Adelina,” Carl Armstrong’s exclusive KPM reproduction china lady. Created from fresh, crisp printed cotton that features a lozenge in dove gray, charcoal and gray/lavender on a white ground, the one-piece dress features classic lines, a ruched bodice, long fitted sleeves with ruffed tiers that decorate the tops. Delicate piping finishes the neckline, beautifully. A separate fichu from cotton tulle features a lovely splash of color in the form of ruched lilac silk ribbon. A removable belt in the same lilac ribbon helps secure the fichu at the waistline should you choose. The final component is in the form of a wired hair ornament composed of delicate lace and more luscious lilac ribbon.
