As an exclusive for the Carmel Doll Shop Boutique, Jeffrey Cook of Maison Jeffrey, has created a period accurate 1840’s Scottish ensemble for our lovely “Adelina,” Carl Armstrong’s exclusive KPM reproduction doll.
Inspired by the Victorian passion for all things Scottish, and Queen Victoria’s love of the poem, Lady of the Lake by Sir Walter Scott. The striking, “Lady of the Loch” costume features a skirt and sash made from Royal Stewart plaid wool, a velveteen jacket, chemisette, and a jaunty tam. The patterns and materials are available for your sewing pleasure in a complete kit which includes a full-color, paper pattern with full instructions and all of the materials needed to create the ensemble. The set includes materials and patterns for the following:

Chemisette: Lengths of fine, snow white dotted swiss cotton, cotton lace, cotton tape, suede ribbon, and one tiny mother of pearl button.

Skirt: Lengths of Royal Stewart plaid wool, fine, white cotton organdy, “horsehair” banding, hook.

Jacket: Lengths of soft black velveteen, fine, black lining cotton, 16 bright, silver finish buttons.

Sash: Length of Royal Stewart wool plaid, one fastener.

Tam: Length of Royal Stewart wool plaid, card stock brim strip, cotton lining bias strip, black grosgrain ribbon and suede ribbon.

Also included are three small spools of thread in red, black and white.
