Pre-made Sample Costume: "Twelfth Night" Ensemble
We are delighted to offer an expertly sewn sample of our stunning 1760’s George II gown, entitled "Twelfth Night." This elegant evening costume was created for our exclusive Georgian Wooden artist dolls “Belinda Noble” and “Dido Washington.”
This stunning ensemble is comprised of fine cotton in a warm fawn hue with vivid, satin finish scarlet stripes. The fitted bodice features a delicately seamed back, and a squared “court” style skirt, edged in ruffles. The elbow length sleeves terminate in a flounced cuff lined in fine crocheted lace and embellished with scarlet silk ribbon. A full petticoat matches the squared court shape of the gown and is embellished with scarlet silk bows along the ruffled hem. Sewn of multiple layers of fabric creating a firm texture, the stomacher is overlaid with scarlet satin striped fabric and embellished with a scarlet silk bow at the bust. A beribboned mob cap in sheer, striped scarlet silk completes the period accurate look.
Sample ensemble only - Belinda is sold separately.
