*NEW* Pre-Order Dressed Lord Noble Doll Wearing "Tally-Ho"
Be amongst the first to pre-order our new line of dressed dolls with costumes created by the expert sewing team at the Carmel Doll Shop…
Here we have a fully costumed “Lord Noble” our William and Mary artisan doll crafted by the esteemed doll artist, Karen Clohessy of Perth, Western Australia. The mold used to create this gentleman was taken from an actual antique wooden example doll from the Grovian Doll Museum Collection. His lordship is cast in a high-quality resin that captures all of the nuances of the carved wood of the original doll. His face features beautiful modeling and painting, and expressive painted-brown eyes, framed by delicately arched, stippled brows. Each wig, of natural flax, is handmade by Michael Canadas and crafted with the styling details that are hallmarks of period hairstyles. (Each wig is unique, non-removable, and will present variations in style.) Lord Noble’s body features a head and torso as one, and true to an original doll of this era, his body features jointed upper legs and knees, and his stuffed cotton upper arms attach to the shoulders and terminate in “carved,” graceful, forked hands.
Here, Lord Noble wears his flagship costume, a lavish, period accurate ensemble designed by Michael Canadas and The Carmel Doll Shop artisan sewing team with pattern by Jeffrey Cook. Expertly sewn by our in-house artisans at the Carmel Doll Shop, the ensemble is rendered in our custom silk in a vivid punch pink hue and trimmed in gold lace, gold trim and gold toned beads. A longline frock coat features turned back cuffs, faux pockets, and a lavish skirt and is worn over a dickie of fine cotton embellished with gold trim, gold lace and button style gold beads down the front. His perfectly tailored britches are trimmed in gold and feature a drawstring waist and a gold button closure at the knee. Cream stockings and silk shoes with an embellished toe complete his presentation.
Doll measures: 16” tall (not including height of wig.)
