At long last, we are pleased to present our stunning 1890’s lady doll “Lily Bramble.” The doll was originally designed by the late British doll maker Nicholas Bramble of the popular 1980’s doll firm Bramble and Pinegar. With permission from the Bramble estate, we were able to faithfully recreate this gilded age beauty, perhaps the final masterpiece produced by the famed duo Bramble and Pinegar.

Using a mold created from the original doll by Beckie Decker of The Bell Collection, master doll artist Carl Armstrong has fully realized Lily’s hauntingly dramatic presence. Features include an expressive, sculptural quality visage with finely molded and painted features including blue intaglio eyes with mauve shadowing, plus molded and shaded lower lids and finely arched brows. Deeply blushed cheeks and full lips painted in a mauve hue complete Lily’s exquisite and unforgettable face.

Her bisque upper body features a molded and painted corset with a delicate lace edge at the shapely bosom, a lower edge with molded holes threaded with blue silk ribbon, finely molded collarbones, gracefully sloping shoulders and an elegant, elongated neck supporting a swivel head. Her arms are jointed at the shoulders and elbows and her lower arms terminate in molded gloves.

Her shapely lower body is made of firmly stuffed kid leather while her bisque legs terminate in molded and painted Edwardian court shoes with a flared heel and painted in a soft buff hue. Silk stockings are painted-on with a fine pink stripe running down the back of her legs.
