We are delighted to present “Gigi,” our newest Carmel Doll Shop Boutique exclusive doll. This petite chérie is modeled on a rare doll (attributed to Simon and Halbig) which is housed in the Grovian Doll Museum Collection. She has been fully realized here by esteemed Australian doll artist Karen Clohessy. We are offering Gigi in a complete kit which includes patterns and complete materials for three ensembles, a miniature library and stationery, plus an array of completed accessories including her charming pet pig “Cochon Salee.”

Details include an expressive face with set, blue grey-eyes with hooded eyelids and delicately arched brows, full, gently blushed cheeks and a closed mouth in a coral hue finished with a slight gloss. Her dark blond mohair wig is styled in long braids that fall to her waist.

She is on a fully jointed, all-bisque body with a swivel neck which features graceful, sculptural quality arms and hands with blushing and tinted fingernails. Her legs terminate in molded and painted stockings under heeled, three strap shoes in the sweetest shade of powder blue. Gigi is a joy to sew for and is also the perfect scale to play the part of a child with your elegant lady dolls.

Doll Measures: 9 ½” tall

Gigi is housed in a segmented carton case. The outside is embellished with gold Dresden paper, while the five interior compartments are lined in gilt edged paper, antique wallpaper and trimmed in crocheted lace.

Sleeveless dress of red silk taffeta with matching bonnet

Long sleeve dress of floral sprigged cotton with matching porkpie hat

Drop waist eyelet lace and blue silk taffeta dress with coronet of ribbon and millinery flowers
