We are pleased to offer a new kit designed by esteemed doll expert, Denise Woodward. Entitled, Jour de Marché (Market Day.) The enfantine style dress is overflowing with sweet, period accurate details and is sized for your antique or reproduction Huret doll on a 14-15” jointed resin, or kid leather body.

The classic floral paisley print is a Carmel Doll Shop Boutique exclusive, recreated from an 1860’s textile in our archives, and features floral paisleys on a field of blue. Further details include, a fitted bodice with subtle ruching and bretelle style shoulders edged in pink silk piping, while the elbow length sleeves feature a ruffled, bell style cuff lined in pink silk. A layer of pink silk peeks out from under the hem of the full, enfantine length skirt. Also included is a form and materials to create a wide brimmed hat with a low, bergere style crown, and an interior brim covered in rose pink silk.

For your sewing pleasure, we have created a kit that includes a paper pattern, beautifully curated materials and notions to create the ensemble pictured. Helpful step by step instructions with information on stitches and techniques are also included.

*To achieve the full skirt as pictured, you may use our pre-made undergarment set (which includes a hoop skirt.) The set can be found in the “Accessories” section of the Boutique entitled: Huret Undergarments - Four Piece Set
