*NEW* Poire à la Beaujolais Underpinnings Kit

$165.00

Named after Poire à la Beaujolais, the French winter dessert of pears and wine, this classic costume evokes sugar, spice and everything nice about Winter…

Beloved doll sewist Patti Williams has distilled her knowledge of historic fashion into this 1860’s underpinnings kit which creates the silhouette for our new “Poire à la Beaujolais Coat and Dress Kit.” The kit includes everything needed to create a seven piece set of underpinnings for your antique and artist made enfantine style dolls. Included in the kit are all the materials to create the underpinnings ensemble for either the classic reproduction Huret doll on a 14-15” jointed resin body or the Carmel Doll Shop Carl Armstrong reproduction Rohmer doll, Mlle. Mathilda. Two separate patterns (one for each doll size) are included in the kit with materials to make one costume.

The set includes the following: fine white cotton chemise, pantalettes, corset cover and a cotton poplin upper petticoat. Additionally, there are patterns for a corset with decorative red stitching and edging, a red cotton flannel petticoat with decorative embroidery, and a hoop skirt. Wonderful as underpinnings or as a lovely display costume.

The kit includes two paper patterns, expertly curated materials and helpful instructions. Also included, is a bonus pattern (without supplies) for a crocheted version of the crinoline / hoopskirt.
