We are delighted to offer an expertly sewn sample of our stunning “Rue Saint-Honoré” gown. The classic promenade costume, designed by Michael Canadas, is comprised of plaid silk taffeta in a palette of celadon green, rich brown and cream. This dreamy plaid is a Carmel Doll Shop Boutique exclusive recreated from an 1860’s textile in our archives.

The fitted bodice features princess seams, cream silk covered buttons a cream silk waistband and a lavish peplum back with cream piping and silk covered buttons. The elbow length sleeves feature an open bell cuff trimmed in cream silk. The voluminous and beautifully tailored skirt is comprised of tiered layers of box pleated ruffles with the tops edged in cream silk. An elegant, matching spoon bonnet frames Eugénie’s face and is trimmed in delicate millinery flowers and a cluster of cream silk ribbon at the chin. Shoes are not included.
