We are delighted to offer an expertly sewn sample of our stunning “Violette” gown. The period accurate 1860’s costume, designed by Michael Canadas, is comprised of a fitted and seamed, front-closing, peplum-style bodice in iridescent, dusky violet silk. The bodice is embellished with a rich variety of trims including purple cotton braid, fine gold soutache trim, tiny gold tone buttons, and a silky fringe in celadon green. A voluminous, beautifully tailored skirt with a lavish train is comprised of rich, violet-hued silk and embellished with purple wool trim, gold soutache braid and tiny gold buttons. Shoes are not included.
